We’ve Got A Secret..

Now that we are home from Paris, I thought I’d let you all in on a little big secret we’ve been keeping… we are expecting Baby Gemma this spring! (!!!!!) We are so so so excited! I mean, over the moon excited. It has been the hardest secret to keep from you all – John and I have been just dying to tell you guys.
 
If you’ve followed me on social media (specifically Snapchat) for any time at all, then it is no secret that we are crazy over babies/children. (My family has 6 kids and they’ve been a huge part of our lives.) We’ve wanted to have kids for years but between John’s residency schedule and my demanding work schedule, we decided it would be best to wait until the end of residency. The timing was perfect because little Baby Gemma will be here before John completes residency! 
 
As for Fitzy, I think he is getting used to the idea… hehe. Typically, he is envious of infants/little babies if I hold them a lot in his presence. He sometimes will bark if I give them too much attention. However, the past couple of months, he sleeps on top of my stomach almost every morning or night for a little while. Maybe I am reading into it, but this is new for him so I wonder if he knows?! 
 
Okay, I am going to wrap this up – I could go on ALL day update you guys and sharing some details but I’ll save that for another day. Thank you all for the love and support you have shown us over the years – we beyond grateful for you all! <3

**Since this is a fashion blog & I typically update you guys on clothing, this dress is obviously not maternity. But it is perfect for holiday parties & events! These were taken early in the AM so there was not much of a bump. (That usually comes after lunch ;). ) Anyway, just wanted to share because I know many of you purchased my Christmas card dress from two years ago.

  44. Congrats!! Kiddos are such a blessing. I think the Lord just knows timing. 😉 What a fun way to share. I have to say I kinda wondered…maybe it's having two kiddos myself 😉 can't wait to follow along. Don't be afraid to ask questions along the way. I know you are surrounded by loving mamas in your family but you also have an amazing opportunity to tap into a whole lot of other loving mamas too!!

  48. Congratulations!!! I am currently 17 weeks pregnant with our first. You are not crazy I think our whoodle knows I am pregnant as well! he is normally very attached to me but lately he is so attached and I cannot even leave the room without him behind me or he panics if he cannot find me! He has also become more cuddly in bed. He is ususlly not a snuggler!

  92. Congrats! You will LOVE being a mom! Fitz definitely knows there is a little one growing – my pups totally knew, and became very protective of me during my pregnancy. It was so fun to watch them grow more and more loving towards me as my bump grew! Can't wait to hear more about your pregnancy and baby – and can't wait to see how your nursery comes together!

  146. I've been suspicious for a while after noticing your poses and how you were covering your belly with bags. But I never wanted to say anything and break the #1 rule of girl code: Never ask a woman if she's pregnant. Congratulations! I'm a mom of 3 under 3 (twins and an 8 month old). It's tough but awesome! Congrats and I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

  152. Ha! That’s actually a pose I’ve done for years – and I’ve worn oversized clothing for years so people have often asked if I am PG! I just started getting a little bump while in Paris and I was wishing I had brought some maternity jeans along for that trip! Thank you so much tho!

  164. I Just saw your Starbucks snap and was like wait! Did I miss something! Ahh congratulations!! I've followed you for years now and I just had a baby in August. When I was pregnant I wished so badly that I had you to get inspiration from because I adore your style. I'm so excited for you guys! Oh and my dogs would lay on my stomach too. They definitely know. I'm a hairdresser and my client had her little boy in her lap and before I even told her the news he reached out and put his hands on my tummy. Pets and babies can sense it I swear lol. Being a mom is the greatest thing I've ever experienced! Rest up momma.
